Experience our immersive,
Indigenous ways
of living

We are building a stronger foundation to share Wagmatcook’s vibrant culture to the world through dance, art, storytelling, and rich experiences for all to enjoy.

Wagmatcook is in the midst of planning a new strategy focused on heritage and cultural tourism based on the both the tangible elements (such as artifacts and exhibits), and the intangible elements (such as storytelling experiences, music, sharing, learning, digital media, etc.). Introducing these elements will reveal new opportunities for employment and project development aimed at generating a cultural resurgence for our people. This will be done through research, consultation, and the support of developing authentic practices involving our songs, dances, traditional foods, and other products and services, all in the hope of developing a dynamic cultural economy that will help build pride within the community and attract people from around the world to our doors.
